Iran President: US Breach of Commitments and Port Barriers Hinder Genuine Negotiations

Iranian President Ebrahim Raisi stated that Washington's failure to fulfill its contractual obligations and the barriers imposed on ports are obstructing the path to genuine negotiations between the two countries. Raisi emphasized that while the US maintains sanctions against Iran, it has not honored its commitments under international agreements. This situation complicates the free use of commercial sea routes, negatively impacting regional trade flows. Additionally, restrictions on Iran's ports are delaying export and import operations and slowing economic growth. Port barriers are both reducing Iran's export revenues and diminishing the efficiency of regional trade networks. Raisi suggested that if these barriers are removed and the US fulfills its commitments, a foundation could be laid for more constructive dialogue and commercial cooperation between the two nations.
