Otokar Acquires Romanian Armored Vehicle Manufacturer Automecanica

Otokar has signed an agreement to acquire 96.77% of Romania-based armored vehicle manufacturer Automecanica for €85 million. With this acquisition, Otokar will become a company with armored vehicle production capacity within the borders of the European Union. Under the agreement, Otokar aims to strengthen its presence in the European market by taking control of Automecanica. The company emphasized the strategic importance of this investment, stating that it will play a more active role in supplying armored vehicles to EU countries. Automecanica is known as a well-established company operating in the defense industry in Romania. Otokar's acquisition is seen as part of the company's growth strategy in the global defense market.
