Palantir's Q1 Revenue Surges 85% on US Business Boom

Palantir Technologies reported a significant increase in revenue for the first quarter of 2023. The company's total revenue rose 85% year-over-year to $525 million, driven primarily by strong performance in its US commercial and government businesses. The company's US commercial revenue grew 40% year-over-year, while US government revenue increased 77% during the same period. Palantir expanded its US customer base, particularly amid rising demand for its artificial intelligence platform, AIP. Palantir's gross profit margin improved to 82% from 80% a year earlier. The company managed to keep operational expenses under control while significantly boosting net profit. Net profit for the first quarter rose to $106 million from $10 million in the same period last year. The company also revised its revenue guidance upward for 2023.
