Apollo and VakıfBank Complete Record $1.3 Billion DPR Transaction

VakıfBank has executed a $1.3 billion securitization transaction with global asset management giant Apollo under its Diversified Payments Rights (DPR) program. The transaction features a 5-year principal grace period and a final maturity of 12 years, marking the largest and longest-tenor DPR deal with a single investor in Turkish banking history. This agreement further strengthens VakıfBank's leading position in the DPR market while contributing to the diversification of its foreign funding sources. The fresh funding provided by Apollo is seen as a significant step in meeting the bank's long-term financing needs. The securitization allows VakıfBank to secure low-cost, long-term funding by collateralizing its future payment flows.
