Gilead Acquires Tubulis for $3.15 Billion

Gilead Sciences has announced the acquisition of German biotech company Tubulis in a deal valued at up to $3.15 billion. Under the agreement, Gilead aims to add Tubulis' antibody-drug conjugate (ADC) platform and development-stage candidates for cancer treatment to its portfolio. The acquisition is seen as part of Gilead's strategy to strengthen its presence in oncology. Tubulis' innovative ADC technology offers the potential to develop more effective and less toxic therapies targeting cancer cells. The deal is expected to complement Gilead's existing drug development pipeline. According to financial details, Gilead will pay $1.4 billion upfront for Tubulis.
