The deal is seen as part of ADI's goal to expand its AI-focused power solutions portfolio. Empower Semiconductor is known as a semiconductor company specializing in high-efficiency power conversion and management. The acquisition aims to enhance ADI's capabilities in power efficiency and density, which are critical for data centers and AI workloads. ADI CEO Vincent Roche stated that this acquisition will significantly bolster the company's ability to meet the growing power demands of the AI era. The deal is expected to complement ADI's existing power management product range, enabling it to offer customers more integrated and efficient solutions.
