TMO Announces 2026 Grain Purchase Prices

The Turkish Grain Board (TMO) has set the 2026 purchase price for durum and bread wheat at 16,500 Turkish Liras per ton. For the same period, the barley purchase price was announced as 12,750 Turkish Liras per ton. These prices constitute the base prices that producers will receive when selling their products to TMO during the 2026 harvest season. According to TMO's statement, including additional supports provided on top of the determined purchase prices, the total amount that producers will receive will reach 19,514 Turkish Liras per ton for wheat. For barley, including supports, producers will earn 15,764 Turkish Liras per ton. These supports aim to help producers cover their costs and increase their profitability. The 2026 grain purchase prices were determined taking into account expected inflation and input costs in the agricultural sector.
