Airbus Delivers 81 Aircraft in May, Up 59% Year-on-Year

European aerospace giant Airbus announced it delivered 81 commercial aircraft in May, representing a 59% increase compared to the same period last year. The company continues to progress toward its production targets with this strong rise in delivery performance. According to Reuters, Airbus's May deliveries also showed a marked improvement from the 61 units shipped in April. Total deliveries for the first five months of the year reached 256, indicating a gradual resolution of supply chain issues. The company noted that demand remains robust, particularly for the narrow-body A320 family. The majority of aircraft delivered in May were of this model, while deliveries also included long-range A350 and A330 models. Airbus targets approximately 800 aircraft deliveries for 2024. The May performance suggests the company is on a steady trajectory to meet this goal.
