Turkish Airlines Expands Direct Flight Network with Ultra Long-Range Aircraft

Turkish Airlines (THY) is taking a significant step toward expanding its fleet and enabling direct flights to new destinations. Prof. Dr. Murat Şeker, Chairman of the Board and Executive Committee of THY, announced that the company's order plan for approximately 420 aircraft continues. Under this plan, the addition of ultra long-range aircraft to the fleet will make direct flights to certain points in Australia and South America possible. Şeker emphasized that this investment is critical for expanding the current flight network and offering passengers more options. The new aircraft are expected to provide fuel efficiency and operational flexibility, especially on long-haul routes. This move by THY aims to enhance its competitive edge in the global aviation market. As part of the order plan, the company is pursuing a strategy that includes both narrow-body and wide-body aircraft.
