Altaris Acquires Simulations Plus for $375 Million

Private equity firm Altaris has signed an agreement to acquire Simulations Plus, a provider of drug development software and consulting services, for $375 million in cash. Under the terms of the deal, Simulations Plus shareholders will receive $0.35 per share. The acquisition is expected to close in the first quarter of 2025. Simulations Plus provides modeling and simulation software for preclinical and clinical studies to pharmaceutical companies. The company's expertise helps accelerate drug development processes and reduce costs. Altaris aims to expand Simulations Plus's technology and customer base through this acquisition. The deal has been unanimously approved by Simulations Plus's board of directors. Subject to shareholder and regulatory approvals, upon completion, Simulations Plus is expected to become a private company and delist from the Nasdaq stock exchange. This is not investment advice.
