Braskem SA and its new controlling shareholder IG4 Capital are struggling to secure sufficient creditor support for out-of-court restructuring proposals. According to sources close to the matter, disagreements have arisen due to unequal treatment among creditors and differences in collateral. This situation increases the likelihood of the company filing for an emergency order. As Braskem continues negotiations with creditors to restructure its debts, disputes between the parties are complicating the process. Following IG4 Capital's takeover, talks were initiated, but some creditors believe the offer is unfair.
