Turkish Competition Board Approves Uber's Acquisition of Getir
Turkey's Competition Board has approved the acquisition of Turkish food ordering and delivery company Getir by US-based transportation platform Uber Technologies. The decision was published on the official website of the Competition Board.
Following its review, the board ruled that the transaction would not significantly reduce competition in the relevant market. Therefore, the acquisition was approved without any conditions.
Uber had previously announced its plan to acquire Getir for approximately $1.15 billion. The deal aims to strengthen Uber's presence in the food delivery segment.
Getir was founded in 2015 and quickly became one of Turkey's fastest-growing startups. In addition to food delivery, the company also offers grocery shopping and other quick delivery services.

■ neutral · 60%Although the news does not directly pertain to Alphabet, Google's parent company, Getir's acquisition by Uber could impact the competitive landscape. Technical indicators present mixed signals: the RSI is neutral at 54, the MACD is just below the signal line, and the price is trading near the 20-day moving average. No clear short-term directional signal has emerged, and the market needs time to price in the news. Therefore, maintaining a neutral stance is the most appropriate approach.
