Lockheed Martin Leads Race to Acquire Advent's Ultra Maritime for $3.5 Billion

According to the Financial Times, Lockheed Martin is the frontrunner in the race to acquire Ultra Maritime, owned by private equity firm Advent International, for approximately $3.5 billion. It is reported that Lockheed Martin has made the strongest bid in the sale process of Ultra Maritime, which operates in the defense and submarine technology sectors. If the deal is completed, Lockheed Martin is expected to significantly expand its portfolio of submarine and underwater warfare systems. Ultra Maritime is known as a company specializing in sonar systems and anti-submarine warfare technologies. Advent International acquired Ultra Maritime in 2018 and now plans to transfer the company to a strategic buyer.
