BlackRock: AI Is Transforming Private Credit

Jean Boivin, Global Head of the BlackRock Investment Institute, stated that artificial intelligence is triggering the greatest investment transformation in history and that private credit is one of the long-term areas benefiting the most from this process. Speaking to Bloomberg, Boivin emphasized that investors do not have to pick AI winners to generate profits. Boivin noted that balance sheet quality has become more important than ever and said that comparing current market conditions to the dot-com bubble or the 2008 crisis is misleading. According to him, the AI-driven transformation is creating new opportunities in asset classes such as private credit. The BlackRock official expressed that AI is fundamentally changing the investment landscape and that this transformation is particularly enhancing long-term return potential in the private credit market.
