Uber in Advanced Talks to Acquire Delivery Hero

According to Bloomberg News, Uber Technologies Inc. is in advanced discussions to acquire Germany-based food delivery company Delivery Hero SE. This potential deal is seen as part of Uber's strategy to strengthen its position in the global food delivery market. The talks are at a sensitive stage and the deal has not yet been finalized. Sources indicate that while negotiations between the parties continue, there is also a possibility that no agreement will be reached. Delivery Hero has a strong presence in Europe, the Middle East, and Africa. Uber has previously pursued a growth strategy through similar acquisitions. The company increased its market share in the US by acquiring Postmates in 2020. Acquiring Delivery Hero could significantly expand Uber's international food delivery operations.
