Hitachi Energy and Eve Air Mobility Sign eVTOL Charging Infrastructure Agreement

Hitachi Energy and Eve Air Mobility have signed a collaboration agreement to develop charging and power infrastructure for electric vertical takeoff and landing (eVTOL) vehicles. This partnership aims to address the critical infrastructure challenge for the widespread adoption of eVTOLs, also known as flying cars. Eve Air Mobility announced it currently has 2,700 pre-orders. The company plans to complete the certification process for these vehicles by 2028. Certification is seen as a necessary step for eVTOLs to begin commercial operations. Under the agreement, Hitachi Energy will provide infrastructure solutions such as charging stations and power management systems. These technologies aim to enable fast and efficient charging of eVTOLs. The flying car market is notable for its potential to revolutionize urban transportation.
