Turkish Airlines Signs Three Strategic Agreements for Pilot Training and Sustainability

Turkish Airlines (THY) has signed three significant agreements to strengthen its training infrastructure in order to meet the needs of its growing fleet and increasing pilot demand. Company officials stated that these steps will enhance the quality of pilot training and support operational efficiency. THY signed a contract with domestic technology company HAVELSAN for 8 Full Flight Simulators and 4 Flight Training Devices. Additionally, it agreed with Canadian Aviation Electronics (CAE) to supply 7 Full Flight Simulators (2 of which are optional) and 2 Flight Training Devices. These investments aim to increase training capacity by covering different aircraft types, both narrow-body and wide-body. Taking a step in sustainability, THY joined the SAFFA Fund, established to support the aviation sector's carbon reduction targets. Through this fund, the company plans to increase the production capacity of sustainable aviation fuels and develop a supply chain security vision aligned with its long-term growth strategy. THY officials emphasized that these agreements will add value to the company's future vision in line with its 2033 targets.
