Bitcoin ETFs End Two-Month Outflow Streak, Selling Pressure Persists

Spot Bitcoin exchange-traded funds (ETFs) trading in the U.S. recorded net inflows again in July, ending a two-month outflow streak. However, sharp sell-offs in the final days of the month highlight investors' cautious approach and the still-negative picture on an annual basis. This points to continued uncertainty in the cryptocurrency market. Despite significant overall inflows into Bitcoin ETFs throughout July, selling pressure in the last week of the month erased a substantial portion of those gains. On a year-to-date basis, net outflows from the funds are still ongoing. This indicates weak institutional appetite for Bitcoin and high sensitivity to market fluctuations. On the other hand, a different picture emerged for Ether (ETH). Ether ETFs diverged from Bitcoin funds, showing more positive performance. This divergence suggests that investors are developing strategies for different assets in the crypto market and that Ether has its own dynamics. Experts note that the movement in Bitcoin ETFs is closely tied to overall market risk appetite and macroeconomic factors. In particular, interest rates and regulatory developments play a critical role in determining the direction of cryptocurrency investments.
