Alarko Carrier to Shut Gebze Factory: 183 Employees to Be Laid Off
Alarko Carrier announced that it will cease production operations at its Gebze plant on 28 February 2027. The company said the decision is part of a restructuring process.
Under the restructuring, the employment contracts of 183 workers at the Gebze facility will be terminated. The company expects to incur a liability of approximately 293 million Turkish lira for severance and notice pay.
Alarko Carrier also confirmed that production activities will continue at its Eskişehir plant, ensuring that a portion of the company’s manufacturing capacity remains operational.
The announcement indicates that the end of operations at the Gebze site will lead to a change in the company’s production structure, and the severance payments are expected to impact its financial statements.
